Grant Information

Arizona Community Reinvestment Collaborative is seeking grant proposals from emerging organizations that are looking to broaden the reach and impact of a small business development program.

Available Funding

One grant of $30,000 will be awarded for 2025.

Application Deadline

Thursday, April 17, 2025 by noon MST

Organization Eligibility

Have 501(c)3 status or an established fiscal sponsorship to meet this requirement.
Be domiciled in Arizona.
Have experience working in the communities served by this proposal.
Have experience managing grant funding.
Have annual revenue of between $100,000 and $2 million for the past two fiscal years, verifiable through Guidestar or with financials provided upon request.
Have not previously received funding from the Arizona Community Reinvestment Collaborative.

Proposal Eligibility

Proposals must meet all of the following criteria:

Support capacity building for a small business development program, with a preference for programs that serve microenterprises.
Serve a community in Maricopa, Pinal or Pima county.
Be eligible for the Community Reinvestment Act, defined by serving clients or Census tracts that are Low Income, Moderate Income, or Middle Income Distressed and/Underserved.
Have a timeline that falls between September 1, 2025 and August 31, 2026.
Demonstrate impact from this one-time funding.

How to Apply

Answer a brief grant application at https://lisc.tfaforms.net/1384 including uploading a 1-2 page narrative. The narrative should include: (1) an introduction to your organization, the communities you serve and needs you address; and (2) how you will use this funding to make a significant impact on your organization’s capacity and/or program outcomes, including key activities and how outcomes will be measured.
By submitting an application letter, you agree to engage in the grant process outlined below including providing the information necessary for Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Phoenix to execute a grant agreement and disburse funds and following the terms and conditions of the grant agreement from LISC.

Grant Process

Stage 1 - Application due April 17, 2025 by noon MST

Applicants will submit a brief application and letter (details above) at https://lisc.tfaforms.net/1384 .
The ACRC Impact Committee will review applications for eligibility.
ACRC members will review eligible applications.
The ACRC Executive Committee will select up to 5 applicants to invite for interviews.

Stage 2 - Interviews held virtually on a date to-be-selected in late May

Applicants will get to meet virtually with ACRC members and share about their organization and proposed project. An outline of questions will be provided with the interview invitation. ACRC members may ask follow-up questions.
Interviewers will select one applicant to fund, pending approval of the ACRC membership.

Stage 3 - Funding

LISC Phoenix will initiate a grant contract on behalf of ACRC.
The grantee or the grantees fiscal sponsor will need to complete the LISC Payee Onboarding process including secure submission of the organization's W-9 and direct deposit information.
Additional information may be collected about the organization's financial and personnel policies or practices, the project budget and project outcomes.
A grant agreement will be sent for signature.
Funds will be disbursed following receipt of the signed grant agreement.
The grantee will report back through a presentation to ACRC membership in late 2026.
